There’s something about the anonymity of long touring that makes space to drop our story lines, and in so doing, make all the space in the world for the tiny beautiful things that matter most. You’ve captured this perfectly. Thank you!

Being no one for a while recharge’s the batteries, I’ve found.

As a longtime bikepacker, this piece really resonated with me. Lovely, poetic insights. I love the purity of a clean ledger, of not carrying any extra baggage into a place with you. Thanks for articulating the experience so beautifully.

Thank you Robin, I appreciate the note. For me anyway on solo rides, there is something liberating about becoming no one...

This really resonates with me right now Dominic. Having been out for 83 days now its something I have been acutely aware of. Theres something rather blissful about being a no one. I've had an article in the kind of slow working of my experiences in a similar thing.

Thanks, yes, blissful is a good word for that feeling. If you do end up writing that article on that experience, I do look forward to reading it!

As a long time bikepacker, this piece hits.

I love escaping from my ledger, if even just for one night.
